BCA leans toward applied programming and software development; a BSc in Computer Science tends to go deeper into theory (algorithms, computation theory) before applications. Among the universities we cover, only BCA is currently offered — MUJ and Amity, not SMU.
A real finding worth knowing: Maths isn't mandatory
Contrary to the common assumption for a computing degree, neither MUJ nor Amity makes Mathematics compulsory for their online BCA. Amity explicitly states Science, Commerce, and Arts students can all apply, with Math/CS/Informatics Practices only "preferred." MUJ's own eligibility page doesn't gate on Mathematics at all.
What actually differs between MUJ and Amity's BCA
The real differentiator is specializations, not eligibility: MUJ's BCA offers Data Science & Analytics, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity tracks; Amity's offers a wider spread including Fintech & AI and Data Engineering.
