A UGC-DEB entitled online degree is formally treated as equivalent to an on-campus degree from the same university for higher education and employment purposes. That's a regulatory fact, not a marketing claim.
What this does guarantee
Eligibility for further studies, government job applications requiring "a recognised degree," and formal credential recognition all follow from entitlement status, not from the delivery mode.
What it doesn't guarantee
Individual employers and specific roles can still have their own preferences — this is genuinely employer-specific and not something a UGC circular can settle. None of the universities we cover publish an independently verified, program-specific placement percentage, so treat any specific hiring claim with the same scrutiny you'd apply to any employment marketing.
